Roots & Wings Connections

With the purpose of relationship strengthening and repair, including relationship with self, counseling offers the opportunity to model and practice connection while enhancing understanding, providing practical tools, and focusing on self-esteem, confidence, and purpose to navigate life situations that can otherwise become overwhelming. Roots & Wings Connections was founded by Amber Jones, LPC, NCC, to provide counseling services to the local communities.

Her theoretical foundation is based on Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with the belief that all members in a family are connected and what affects one member affects all members, creating patterns of dysfunction that must be acknowledged, processed, and broken. She holds the belief that all experiences throughout the lifespan influence our thoughts, behaviors and actions as they relate to the world and people around us – beginning with the most foundational experiences we learn about relationships within our family of origin.

Individual

Individual counseling is a personalized, one-on-one approach to express one’s thoughts in a confidential environment for those of all ages. We have a variety of individual counseling focus areas and are experienced to work through a multitude of emotional difficulties (e.g. depression, anxiety, grief).

Marriage & Family

Marriage and family counseling is focused on relationship dynamics and deals with improving communication and resolving family or couple conflicts. These sessions uncover how family dynamics can have an impact on individuals’ psychological health while providing assistance in bettering these relationships.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a unique experience that involves many individuals undergoing a single counseling session at once. Participants grow by listening to others speak on similiar situations that they are going through. It acts as a support system for individuals experiencing a wide variety of conditions.
