In Loving Memory of Ava

Welcome to Roots and Wings. For many years, if you visited our secondary office, you may have seen Ava trotting around with her dad, Michael. Ava was a beloved 13-year-old Maltipoo, adopted from the SPCA when she was just three months old. More than a companion, Ava was our honorary Therapist, always bringing a sense of calm to the office and showing a remarkable intuition for people’s feelings.

She adored gentle pets and soft rubs. Ava could often be found by Michael’s side, spending time with Amy and our administrative team, offering quiet comfort to anyone who needed it.

Ava was no ordinary dog. She came from very traumatic beginnings, but like many of our clients, she was a survivor and lived an adventurous, fulfilling, and happy life surrounded by endless love and admirers. She was very intelligent and brave but most of all she was one of the most loving, adorable, loyal, and sweetest little creatures ever to walk the earth. Her legacy of love and impact will be felt for many years to come.

Though Ava has passed, her spirit remains a cherished part of our Roots and Wings family. We are grateful for the joy she brought to our clients, staff, and space every day.
