Get to Know Me
I founded Roots and Wings with a vision to create an inclusive, supportive space for the Hampton Roads community while also prioritizing the well-being of mental health professionals. The name is inspired by journalist Hodding Carter’s words: “There are two lasting bequests we can give our children: one is roots, the other is wings.”
This philosophy extends beyond parenting—it reflects how we heal and grow. Roots to grow provide stability, connection, and self-awareness, while wings to fly empower us to embrace change, take risks, and move forward. I help individuals and families break unhelpful patterns, understand how early experiences shape them, and build healthier relationships. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and I walk alongside my clients with empathy, honesty, and respect.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with family, exploring new places, and recharging. If you’re seeking growth and healing, I’d be honored to support you.
