Dr. Beth Orrison, PhD, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and received by PhD from Old Dominion University in 2023. I have worked in both in-patient crisis stabilization and outpatient private practice settings. My background also includes teaching both undergraduate and graduate level human services and counseling classes. My counseling style is derived from strengths-based, CBT, psychodynamic, and solutions-focused approaches. I am available for in-person appointments, as well as telehealth. I believe that every individual has the ability to improve their lives and make positive changes. I very much look forward to meeting and working with you. I am excited to start this journey towards wellness together.

Get to Know Me
I graduated from James Madison University with a B.S. in Psychology and attended Old Dominion University for my M.S. Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, reading, napping, and playing video games. I love animals and have a corgi named Stella, as well as three cats, Carson, Salem, and Luna. I have traveled to Iceland, Ireland, Germany, Italy, UK, and Mexico. My favorite books are the Harry Potter series, Where the Crawdads Sing, and The Bell Jar. I enjoy all types of video games, including Animal Crossing, The Last of Us, Zelda, and Tomb Raider.
